FINISHING SUPERVISOR needed for 2nd shift. We are a manufacturer of custom molded products with secondary assemblies.
Applicant must be able to supervise a team of finishing operators and instill quality within the department. Ability to perform set-ups and troubleshoot sonic welders, pad printers and heat insertion equipment is required. CNC programming and computer skills a plus.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Procures and expedites all purchased components, raw materials and outside services to meet production schedule requirements under direction of the Production Planning Manager.
• Is intimately involved in the production planning and scheduling process and is the primary back-up for this function in the absence of the Production Planning Manager.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Initiates and facilitates returned goods processing through participation in MRB meetings.
• Assists in BOM construction on new product and reviews BOM revisions via shop floor issues, job cost variances and CTP data.
• Tracks and assigns new item numbers and creates rework job orders.
• Reviews WIP and assists in closing production jobs and reconciling material discrepancies.
• Drives the procurement process to continually improve the quality, delivery, and cost effectiveness of vendor services.
• Assumes responsibility for vendor audits, additions and deletions to the approved vendor list, and all supplier corrective actions.

ISO / Quality related role:

• Reviews NCR’s on discrepant vendor materials.
• Internal Auditor

Job Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of injection molding process, equipment, and tooling.
• Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management Degree, or equivalent.
• Computer proficiency.
• APICS Certification and affiliation.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment.
